What Is Direct Trade Coffee? A Charleston Roaster Explains
Most coffee in the world is bought and sold in bulk, mixed from many farms, and traded like oil or wheat. The focus is price, not people. There’s usually no farm name, no traceability, and very little connection to the grower.
